Discover Flinders Ranges & Outback
        Welcome

DISCOVER IS SHOWN EVERY SATURDAY AT 5.30PM

BETWEEN MAY AND NOVEMBER
EPISODE 1 - TO AIR 30TH MAY 2009

Join us in 2009 for our 11th Series of Discover, South Australia's own local tourism and lifestyle program.  I'll return with our regular presenters, Briony Hume, Pete Michell, Kelly Golding and we'll also have a host of guest presenters including Ken"KG" Cunningham, Mark Soderstrom & Cherylee Harris.

Our aim is, as always, to encourage our viewers to explore the fantastic state we live in and showcase the unique things that many of us simply take for granted.  Most of the things we show you have never been on television before or, if they have, there's something new to talk about.

Since 1999 Discover crews have been out and about all over South Australia, filming segments on the newest and best things to do and see.

In 2009 we continue to bring you ideas about places to stay,  something different to do and perhaps some food or wine experiences which might just inspire you to get out and enjoy a slice of South Australia for yourselves!

Perhaps you've been somewhere new or unusual recently and really enjoyed it.  If you have then let us know!  We may just feature it on the show, and we always appreciate feedback from our viewers.  Simply send an email to our Producer Traci Ayris via this website.

Cheers!
Chris Dittmar

        Presenters

Discover's regular presenters are Chris Dittmar, Briony Hume,
Peter Michell, Kelly Golding and Cherylee Harris. On occasion we also feature stories by 7 Adelaide news journalists such as John Riddell, Rosanna Mangiarelli and Mike Smithson.

In 2006, for our eighth series, Chris Dittmar replaced John Riddell in the role of main presenter. Chris also presents the Sport segment on 7 news at 6 oclock midweek. Born and bred down at Port Adelaide, Chris has an undeniable passion for South Australia and is looking forward to unearthing some experiences which showcase just how brilliant it can be to live and work in this state.

Briony Hume is a familiar face to Adelaide television viewers from her role as Reporter/Producer/Presenter on Seven News for many years. As a wife and mother, Briony particularly enjoys searching out the latest and best destinations for family holidays. A self confessed wine and food lover, Briony can often be found seeking out the latest and greatest gourmet delights South Australia has to offer!

Peter Michell is a local South Australian actor/singer and voice over artist, regularly working in theatre and film.  Peter would be remembered by younger audiences for his presenting role on the Seven Network National childrens show 'The Bookplace'. Always eager to take on the weird and wacky or anything adventurous, Pete relishes in a challenge - even if it means  working with children and animals!  Whether the story involves  hair-raising-heart-pumping activity or a walk through some pristine wilderness you'll find Pete right in the middle and loving every minute!

Kelly Golding, has worked as a radio announcer for Fox FM in Melbourne and is a regular on Adelaide's airwaves, she was also a weather presenter on the 7 news weekday service before moving across to Discover.  Kelly loves anything arty, crafty and cultural and has a particular knack for searching out the newest and the best romantic bed and breakfast ideas for couples.
